古荥村位于河南省郑州市惠济区大河路西段，在河南省郑州西北22公里处。

临古荥泽，故名。秦时，曾为河南郡治所。明成化八年（1472年）荥泽县治所被黄水淹没，徙治于此。

1931年废县改为镇。1952年划入郑州市郊区。1980年易名古荥。邙山区古荥乡人民政府驻此。
