北周保定三年（563年），于今四川乐山犍为县境置沉犀郡，设彭山区县，沉犀郡领武阳一县。沉犀郡郡治在今清溪镇沉犀坝。

北周保定三年（563年），于今四川省乐山市犍为县境置沉犀郡，设武阳县，沉犀郡领武阳一县。沉犀郡郡治在今清溪镇沉犀坝。

隋开皇三年（583年），沉犀郡废，改武阳县为戎州犍为县，仅存在20年。
