菊芳国家公园位于河内西南120公里，公园处在海拔200-600米的石灰岩质山区中，面积达25000公顷。

园内种植了近2000多种植物，许多为珍稀植物；园内还有500多种动物，昆虫种类最多，最著名的为蝶类。每年4月—5月间，这里彩蝶飞舞，吸引着众多的游客。
